Distinguished Concerts International, New York (DCINY) is a classical music production company who works with national and international institutions to present full-scale choral masterworks, chamber music, and instrumental performances at Carnegie Hall and Lincoln Center. 

We are in search of self-motivated individuals to represent DCINY as part-time, seasonal paid production staff. Once hired, staff will be assigned to work concert residencies, based on need, throughout the concert season.

Qualifications required for this position:

  • Self-motivated and adaptable, able to shift to changing situations and/or responsibilities
  • Confident in their communication skills and able to work with large groups effectively
  • Demonstrates initiative and the ability to switch to new tasks on short notice
  • Knowledge and/or interest in classical music
  • Able to confirm availability for work schedules in advance, often over holiday weekends (including, but not limited to Thanksgiving Weekend, Martin Luther King Day, President’s Day, Memorial Day Weekend, etc.)

Responsibilities of this position:

  • Represent DCINY with the utmost level of professionalism
  • Complete task assignments at rehearsals, performances, and post-concert receptions
  • Set up and strike rehearsals and non-union performance venues
  • Assist with talent flow during concert residencies
  • Taking initiative to define tasks and offer solutions under the supervision of DCINY Staff
  • Lend additional support, as assigned, during residencies and/or with office hours during non-residency times.

Ideal applicants have a background in events, music performance, theater, and/or stage management. Instrumental background, reading music, and/or music librarian work is a plus. Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
