About Sanctuary + Seed

Sanctuary + Seed is repurposing the former Christ Presbyterian Church in Martinsville, NJ, as a multi-use ecologically centered space for whole earth flourishing.

The renewed property will consist of regenerative gardens, retreat space, a Wild Church congregation, and mindfully curated flex-rental meeting/office rooms.

Sanctuary + Seed is committed to facilitating human attunement with the rest of the earth,
holistic well-being and restorative and transformative spiritual praxis through weekly church gatherings, workshops, retreats, and curating a community of like-minded individuals.

Role Summary

The Contractor of Marketing & Communications develops strategic plans, manages, and executes based on the following projects:

  • organization-wide marketing and digital communications
  • organization-wide digital and social media presence


Primary Duty and Responsibilities

This role’s duties and responsibilities are as follows:

Marketing & Communications

  • Assist in creating and managing the S+S’s website
  • Create and manage the S+S’s social media pages
  • Curate regular social media content
  • Develop organization-wide marketing materials
  • Develop and maintain an organizational email distribution list
  • Create and distribute a monthly newsletter


Reporting Structure

The contractor for this role will report directly to the Executive Team on all projects and tasks.

  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent computer skills and experience with digital and design platforms
  • Ability to create professional looking designs within the Sanctuary + Seed brand identity
  • Reliable communication with team


Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of social media management / digital marketing experience
  • 2-3 years of recruitment, sales, and/or development experience

Work Environment & Schedule

Remote work is authorized. However, the contractor is welcome to take their own photos and videos for content directly at the site. The contractor can work flexibly as long as they meet the deadlines for each project. 

Compensation

Compensation and Hours: The contractor will be compensated at an hourly rate ranging from $17 to $20, commensurate with experience and project requirements. The contractor is expected to work on a project basis and will submit a monthly timesheet to the Executive Director for approval. The total hours worked shall not exceed 40 hours per month.
