[WINTER 2025] Mobile Design Intern - 4 Months

Job Title: Mobile Design Intern

Duration: 4 months (January 2025 – April 2025) 

Location: Virtual

*Full time availability of 37.5 hours weekly required to be eligible for this opportunity.

Summary of Opportunity:

Join a team of product designers working on our native mobile app products – Dayforce Mobile and Wallet. You’ll work alongside designers, product managers, and developers, as a part of a cross functional team, to improve the work life of employees. This isn’t a busy work project, you’ll work on solving real user needs.

 

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Learn best practices for common mobile design problems
  • Collaborate with other product designers, product managers and developers to work through design and product challenges
  • Present work and communicate design decisions to the design team and the cross-functional team, including product managers and engineers
  • Learn how a design system works in the real world, by using and contributing to the mobile design system.
  • Ideate and prototype to explore different options and develop your skills for communicating your rationale
  • Learn to conduct upfront user research to better understand user needs and behaviors, and usability testing to see how your solutions work for users, with the support and guidance of UX Researchers
  • Take design direction from senior product designers and design managers, ensuring your efforts roll-up into a coherent whole
  • Experience being part of a mobile design team and a large Design organization

 

Qualifications:

  • Collaboration and communication
  • Passion for native mobile app experiences
  • Strong Figma skills
  • Product design work experience, through an internship or otherwise
  • Ability to work remotely (or willing to learn how)
  • Willingness to learn from others and grow as a product designer

 

Nice to have: 

  • Experience designing for (or working with) native mobile apps
