Internship for College Students (Unpaid, Remote)

Training Program: Real-World Software Project Experience

Are you a college freshman or sophomore majoring in Computer Science or a related field, struggling to land your first internship?

At Kindness Matters Inc. (501(c)(3) nonprofit), we're offering a free, remote training and project-based learning program designed to bridge the gap between your education and employment opportunities in tech.

What You’ll Get:

  • Hands-on experience through real-world project collaborations
  • 1:1 and group mentorship from experienced engineers
  • A team-based environment that mirrors industry workflows
  • Strong references upon successful completion
  • Experience with industry tools and technologies, including
    • Backend: Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, GraphQL APIs
    • Frontend: ReactJS, TypeScript, Apollo Client
    • Tools: VSCode, Eclipse, MySQL Workbench, Docker
    • Cloud & AI: Exposure to AWS services and AI tools like ChatGPT (others TBD)

Commitment:
5–10 hours per week, fully remote
3-month volunteer program
No cost to participate;  unpaid educational opportunity
