Training Program: Real-World Software Project Experience
Are you a college freshman or sophomore majoring in Computer Science or a related field, struggling to land your first internship?
At Kindness Matters Inc. (501(c)(3) nonprofit), we're offering a free, remote training and project-based learning program designed to bridge the gap between your education and employment opportunities in tech.
What You’ll Get:
- Hands-on experience through real-world project collaborations
- 1:1 and group mentorship from experienced engineers
- A team-based environment that mirrors industry workflows
- Strong references upon successful completion
- Experience with industry tools and technologies, including
- Backend: Java, Spring Boot, MySQL, GraphQL APIs
- Frontend: ReactJS, TypeScript, Apollo Client
- Tools: VSCode, Eclipse, MySQL Workbench, Docker
- Cloud & AI: Exposure to AWS services and AI tools like ChatGPT (others TBD)
Commitment:
5–10 hours per week, fully remote
3-month volunteer program
No cost to participate; unpaid educational opportunity
