Application Scientist

Job Overview:

If you are a scientist who loves to use technology to address the challenges faced by scientists, then we are looking for you! As an Application Scientist, you will be responsible for providing technical support to our customers, troubleshooting technical and scientific issues that arise, and assisting in the development and implementation of new applications that help scientists solve their daily challenges.

Note this is a full-time position located in NJ

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a primary technical expert for our ChemCart software suite of products and services.
  • Develop custom software applications tailored to meet the needs of our customers.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to customer requests associated with data management tasks employing our tools.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations and training sessions of our ChemCart software product line for customers.
  • Collaborate with the product development team to provide feedback on customer needs and identify opportunities for product enhancements.
  • Stay up to date on the latest scientific and technological advancements in the field and share this knowledge with customers and colleagues.
  • Participate in scientific conferences and other industry events to showcase our products and build relationships with key stakeholders.

Qualifications:

  • A degree in chemistry, biology, or a related field
  • Experience with a variety of chemical and biological processes and assays
  • Strong technical skills and experience with a wide range of life science technologies and applications (i.e. ELN, LIMS, etc.)  
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical and scientific issues
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior experience in a similar technical informatics role
  • Experience with ChemCart or other scientific information systems
  • Experience with Oracle, data modeling, computer programming, chemical drawing tools, scientific informatics tools
