Summary:

New York Edge is seeking passionate and enthusiastic people to fill the part-time after-school Academic Enrichment Coach role. In this role, you will be critical to the successful operation of New York Edge's after-school program. You will be responsible for providing a safe and positive environment for school-age children and opportunities for learning, interaction, and academic/personal growth. Academic Enrichment Coaches also participate in activities and trips while providing and maintaining a safe working environment. They help with homework and prepare students to demonstrate newly acquired skills in Sports and Arts. 

Schedule:

Monday – Friday 

2:30 pm – 5:30 pm 

This role requires you to be in person.

Pay:

$17.00/hr

Job Functions:

- Provide supervision to ensure the well-being of program participants.

- Engage participants in age-appropriate, fun, and challenging activities.

- Keep the supervisor informed of any concerns.

- Maintain a clean and organized activity space.

- Create a youth-focused atmosphere and serve as a positive role model.

- Develop positive relationships with parents and guardians.

- Attend all required training sessions and actively participate.

- Any other duties assigned

Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years old
• A High School Diploma is required; some college preferred
• Experience working with children strongly preferred

The Academic Enrichment Coach will be required to report to the school and interact with staff, students, parents, and the school administration.
