Chief Financial Officer Application: Volunteer Position
Health Heralds (previously Donate Essentials) is an international youth-led 501 (c) 3 nonprofit organization based in the San Francisco Bay Area that focuses on making health literacy accessible to the average person.
As Chief Financial Officer, you’ll be a key member of the Health Heralds leadership team, with the responsibilities of:
- Overseeing the organization’s financial health and ensuring all tax-exemption forms are up to date
- Managing key financial decisions and ensuring compliance with various regulatory requirements (e.g. IRS regulations, California’s nonprofit regulations, IRS Form 990-EZ requirements)
- Working with and overseeing the Fundraising and Grant Directors
Ideal candidates are pre-meds, interested in healthcare, or want to make health literacy accessible.
Please Note:
- Access to a computer with a stable Internet connection is expected for active participation in all aspects of the leadership position.

- The time commitment for this position is approximately 5-7 hours a week.
