Associate Governmental Program Analyst
The CalSTRS Investments Branch is seeking an experienced individual to work as an Associate Governmental Program Analyst (AGPA) on the Private Markets team.
Under the direction of the Senior Investment Director of Private Markets and Sustainable Investment & Stewardship Strategies (SISS), the AGPA is responsible for providing analytical support, coordinating special projects, and supporting the Senior Investment Director (SID) in ensuring effective and efficient day-to-day operations of the Private Markets asset classes and the SISS team. The incumbent will perform responsible, varied, and complex technical, analytical and consultative duties requiring a high degree of independence, flexibility, and tact.
The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:
- Experience utilizing the Microsoft Office Suite (i.e., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Experience compiling/organizing data and information into reports
- Experience providing support to senior leadership and/or executives
- Project management experience
- Exceptional customer service skills
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Strong analytical skills
- Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail
- Ability to research, organize, analyze, and interpret information
- Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines
Every 12 months, based on performance evaluation, employees may receive a 5% salary increase until they reach the maximum salary for the position.
In July 2025, the State of California implemented the Personal Leave Program 2025. This program reduces employees’ monthly base pay in exchange for paid leave credits. This position is subject to PLP 2025 and will have a monthly base pay reduction of 3% in exchange for 5 hours of leave credits for the duration of the program. The salary ranges shown on this job posting do not reflect the reduced amounts.
