Reporting and Delivery & Client Service Internship (Summer 2026)
Location: Holmdel, NJ (hybrid - 3 days in person, in office)
About the Position
Gain real experience, doing meaningful work in an entrepreneurial environment! Our headquarters is in Holmdel, NJ and this is a hybrid role, requiring in person, in office work 3 days each week.

We’re looking for someone who brings a mix of financial interest and technical skills to help us with investment and investor reporting, data management, and client communication. Candidates should have a strong academic record and a genuine interest in financial markets. We prefer applicants who are at least three years into an undergraduate degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Computer Science, or a related field. Coursework in financial analysis, business intelligence, data management, SQL programming, or investment management is highly encouraged. All summer positions involve working in a fluid environment where rapid response and the ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously are often required.
Internship Responsibilities and Assignments
In this role, you’ll build a working knowledge of the data that drives our business and make an impact by:
- Assisting to perform detailed calculations and assessments of monthly performance and return metrics
- Assisting to automate tasks (using BI Tools) and support in building applications to enhance performance metrics
- Supporting various functions of the Client Relations team including CRM, handling investor requests, updating quarterly marketing materials, researching and analyzing data, completing DDQs, and other related tasks to assist ZAIS's business development efforts.
- Performing research for Business Development, which involves the identification of potential prospects, both from existing clientele and new opportunities.

- Demonstrated ability in working effectively with data and numbers. Ability to research and analyze data
- Proven experience in team collaboration, preferably evidenced by past projects
- Intellectually curious, independent problem-solving skills, self-starting
- Highly organized; ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously. High level of attention to detail
- Technical skills: MS Excel (Advanced), MS Powerpoint (Beginner), SQL/Python (Beginner)
- Knowledge of BI Tools
- Knowledge of CRMs
This position is open to undergraduate students who are rising seniors with an anticipated graduation date of May 2027.
Additional Qualifications/Skills that will be helpful
Experience or knowledge in setting up or building a User Interface is a significant plus
