About Us
At Code Wiz, our students develop programming skills along with invaluable approaches to critical thinking and problem solving. We believe anyone can learn to code – no matter their age, tech proficiency or personal interests.
This is an entry-level, part-time, and in-person position. We are looking for coaches in Beacon Hill, Sharon, Canton, Hanover, Norwell, Hingham and Weymouth locations.
Job Description
Our coaches are expected to have a passion for coding and/or robotics and working with children, with the ability to multitask. Coaches will be trained and offered flexibility with their schedules and classes they decide to take on.
We are currently looking for coaches for Gaming/Foundational coding and FLL robotics program, but other positions are also available:
- Gaming Coding Coach
- Foundational Coding Coach
- Robotics coach
Coaches will work directly with our students at Code Wiz.
Job Responsibilities
- Use the curriculum to teach and lead children in their lessons and projects
- Run trial classes
- Come up with creative ideas that students can implement in their projects
- Record and report students’ progress
- Maintain a high quality of team performance and job satisfaction
- Train new coaches
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with kids in a camp, tutoring, childcare, or after school program
- Interest and background in one of the following fields: Minecraft, Roblox, Drag and Drop Scratch, Python, Robotics, First Lego League, etc.
- Friendly, but professional attitude, and the ability to work independently
- No degree or resume required
