Business Evaluation Services is actively seeking independent contractors in North and South Carolina to conduct evaluations at local retail stores.

We specialize in professional mystery shopping and business evaluations, partnering with companies across diverse industries to enhance customer service and optimize store operations.

Details

We are seeking detail-oriented mystery shoppers to evaluate the quality, cleanliness, and customer service at select retail locations. Your observations will help the client maintain high standards across fueling areas, car washes, stores, and restrooms. This role requires an in-person visit to the assigned location during late-night or early-morning hours.

Locations: Bryton - Huntersville, NC; Charlotte, NC; Harrisburg, NC; Indian Land, SC; Waynesville, NC.

Compensation: $25 per completed evaluation (you can request up to 17 locations within a month)

Visit Frequency: Possible return visit to the same location after 60 days 

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct an on-site evaluation of the locations:
  • Fueling area: cleanliness, upkeep, functionality of pumps, customer service caddies, and receipt availability.
  • Car wash area (if available): appearance, cleanliness, operational status.
  • Store interior: overall cleanliness, organization, lighting, and food/snack availability.
  • Restroom facilities: cleanliness, stock of supplies, and overall condition.
  • Customer service: associate appearance, uniform compliance, friendliness, and transaction accuracy.
  • Marketing & signage: proper display of promotions, pump toppers, and other materials.

• Make a small in-store purchase (up to $5 reimbursed) to assess checkout experience.
• Capture required photos for documentation:
  • Front of the location upon arrival and departure
  • Purchase receipt
  • Any issues requiring management attention

Requirements

• Must be available to shop between 10:00 PM and 6:00 AM.
• Ability to follow precise guidelines and observe details.
• Comfortable making small purchases and interacting with store staff.
• Reliable access to a smartphone or camera for photos and reporting.
• Strong communication skills to call the location before visiting to verify it is open.

Compensation

• Payment is provided upon successful completion and submission of your report (PayPal or Venmo)

• Ability to follow guidelines and meet deadlines

Additional Information

This is an independent contractor opportunity, not an offer of employment.

There are no fees to apply or participate, and independent contractors are paid per completed evaluation.

This is not a multi-level marketing (MLM) or commission-based position.
