Sales and Accounts Manager

Job Purpose:
The Sales & Accounts Manager is responsible for driving business growth, managing customer accounts, and supporting technical sales efforts. This role blends customer relationship skills with technical understanding of products and solutions. The ideal candidate is motivated, organized, and comfortable working closely with engineering and leadership teams.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, manage, and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective customers
- Manage assigned accounts and grow revenue through upselling, cross-selling, and long-term partnerships
- Identify and pursue new sales opportunities, leads, and market segments
- Provide product information, application guidance, and technical support in collaboration with engineering and technical teams
- Prepare and follow up on quotes, proposals, and sales agreements
- Coordinate order processing by transferring orders to fulfillment and communicating lead times, delivery expectations, and stock availability
- Track sales activity, pipeline, and performance metrics; report results to leadership
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date CRM records and customer documentation
- Attend trade shows, product demonstrations, and customer visits as required
- Respond to customer inquiries via phone and email in a professional and timely manner
- Analyze customer purchasing history to recommend related or new products and explain technical features and benefits
- Troubleshoot communication or order issues and ensure timely resolution
- Support continuous improvement by following company standards and recommending process enhancements

Education: Bachelor Degree (mimumum)
The ideal candidate will hold Physics, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering degree and will have 2-4 years of technical sales experience.
Knowledge of Ultra-High Vacuum (UHV) technology will be very helpful.
Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications. Including:
*Existing industry contacts
*Experience with scientific equipment / materials
Commission (In addition to base salary)
Medical Benefit Package available after successful 90 Day Probationary Period.
One week (5 business days) PTO after 1 year.
401K option available once eligible.
Trade Shows & Travel Compensation provided:
*All travel expenses covered (flight, hotels)
*Per diem ($70-$90 per day)
*Trade Show days count as paid work days.
