Overview
This internship gives students real-world social media and marketing experience. “You’ll help create, schedule, and optimize social content that drives awareness, engagement, and bookings for our gym. You’ll learn how brands actually use social media to drive awareness, engagement, and generate revenue, not just likes.
We are a children’s enrichment and event business that runs birthday parties, group events, and field trips for families, schools, and organizations. Social media plays a direct role in how parents discover us, trust us, and decide to book. Your work will be visible, measurable, and tied to real outcomes.
You’ll work closely with a marketing lead who will coach you on content strategy, messaging, consistency, and how to think about social media as a business tool. If you’re interested in marketing, content, branding, or entrepreneurship, this experience will translate cleanly to future roles.
What You’ll Do
- Research content ideas, trends, and potential content partners that resonate with our target audience.
- Create and post social media content (Instagram primary, others as assigned)
- Assist with short-form content ideas, captions, hooks, and calls to action
- Schedule posts and maintain a consistent posting cadence
- Monitor basic engagement metrics and identify what’s working
- Support promotions for birthday parties, programs, events, and offers
- Assist with light outreach to content partners and collaborators to support content sharing and cross-promotion.
What You’ll Learn
- How to run social media for a real business with real constraints
- How to create content that drives engagement and inquiries, not just views
- How content partnerships help expand reach and credibility without paid advertising
- How to think in terms of hooks, messaging, and audience psychology
- How to use scheduling tools, basic analytics, and content workflows
- How social media fits into a broader marketing and sales ecosystem
Who This Is For
- Current college students or recent graduates
- Students interested in marketing, social media, content creation, or branding
- Comfortable writing short-form copy and thinking creatively
- Organized, consistent, and able to hit small daily commitments
- Coachable, reliable, and willing to test and learn
No prior professional marketing experience required. We care more about effort, consistency, and willingness to improve than polish on day one.
