Community Outreach Intern
New Jersey Reentry Corporation is a non profit company established by the former Governor Jim McGreevey. Our mission is to assist court involved, formerly incarcerated individuals with reintegration back into society. We have 10 Reentry sites throughout the state of NJ and our Services include direct linkages to Medicaid, SNAP, Housing, Addiction/MAT Services, Mental Health & Counseling, ID and Legal Services, Vocational and Employment Services.
As an NJRC Outreach Intern your responsibility will be to extend the awareness of NJRC, its services and resources throughout the entire state of NJ through several Outreach Initiates and Events that require significant research, planning, preparations, inviting/follow up and execution.
You will be involved with our amazing Donation program, where we provide vital goods to our NJRC participants, the community and various partners, including food, coats, toys, toiletries, school supplies, diapers, hygiene products on an ongoing basis, just to name a few.
Outreach initiatives also focus on our NJRC Ambassadors, including the Interfaith Community, Greek, Legislative, Non-Profit, Women, Veterans, and other specific groups, who are advocates for Reentry and seek purposeful engagement with our program and our participants.
The Outreach Department is located at the Governor's Reentry Training & Employment Center, 195 Campus Dr., Kearny, NJ. Our hours of operation are Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
