2026 Technology Governance, Risk & Compliance Internship

General:

The internship will be part of IT on the IT Governance, Risk and Compliance (IT GRC) team , which is responsible for ensuring technology risks are identified, controlled, and compliant with policies and regulations through governance, monitoring, and remediation.  This position is responsible for working closely with the Head of Regulatory Engagement and Policy Management for Technology.  In addition to working with the IT GRC team they will participate in weekly intern cohort learning/development activities and collaborate with other interns on a group project.

 

Role Description:

The role focuses on IT governance, compliance, and policy development, with exposure to real-world processes and best practices.

 

As an intern you will assist with the preparation of regulatory materials.  This requires active collaboration with stakeholders across the IT division.  The role will provide a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in regulatory processes and cross-functional communication. The intern will support documentation efforts, coordinate information gathering, and contribute to ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

 

Additionally, the intern will work on Policy Management initiatives, gaining insight into IT processes, their operations, and the rationale behind varying frameworks and processes.

 

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Participating in meetings with stakeholders to discuss requirements and document action items.
  • Drafting and updating regulatory documentation under the guidance of senior team members.
  • Collecting and organizing information from various IT teams to support regulatory preparation and exams.
  • Assisting with the review and maintenance of IT policies and procedures.
  • Helping prepare presentations or training materials related to policy management or regulatory changes.

 

Job Knowledge Requirements:

  • The ability to draft clear, structured documentation.
  • Possess verbal and written communication skills to work effectively with stakeholders across IT.
  • General knowledge of computers and networks.

 

Qualifications:

  • Current students with an expected graduation date of May/June 2027
  • Preferred majors: Management Information Systems
