Bilingual Child Care Worker (Spanish/English)
The KidsHaven Program, located in Bethlehem, PA, directly supports unaccompanied migrant children in their journey to reunite with their families. You will be working with children who have experienced significant trauma and are navigating the challenges of displacement, migration, and cultural adjustment. Our programs help promote the well-being of unaccompanied children through culturally responsive and trauma-informed services.
The Bilingual Youth Care Worker is responsible for providing direct supervision, support and direction to children and adolescents in a compassionate and respectful manner. This includes providing an unwavering commitment to the safety of kids and being aware of all ongoing developments and concerns, on a daily basis.
Requirements:
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High School graduate or equivalent required; Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health or related field preferred.
Must have a minimum of 1 year professional experience with children.
Valid driver's license preferred.
Must possess basic personal computer knowledge and skills.
Required ability to converse, write and read in English and Spanish.
The candidate must pass a Criminal Record History Clearance and a Child Abuse History Clearance which are processed by KidsPeace. The candidate must pass a Physical & Drug Screening & possess the ability to attend and successfully complete all KidsPeace sponsored trainings. EOE
Location: Bethlehem, PA
Schedule: Full Time, Part Time 2nd shift hours - 3PM -11PM, requires weekend
Pay: $17.60-$20.50 an hour
