+ Position Summary

ICD Alloys& Metals is hiring a commercially driven Junior Sales Trader to support and grow our specialty and industrial metals trading activity. This is a development role with a clear path into trading—not sales support. You’ll work alongside active trading desks, learn pricing and deal structures, and progressively take ownership of transactions, customers, and material flows.

+ Position Responsibilities

Commercial & Trading

  • Support pricing, quotes, and deal execution
  • Track market pricing, competitors, and material flows
  • Prepare margin, inventory, and commercial analysis
  • Assist with contracts and transactional documentation

 

Customers & Suppliers

  • Serve as a commercial contact
  • Support account management and relationship development
  • Communicate pricing, specs, and delivery details

 

Trading Development

  • Learn metals specs, logistics, and commercial risk
  • Shadow traders and assume ownership of defined trades
  • Understand margin, cash flow, and working capital impacts

+ Candidate Profile

We hire for commercial instinct & drive. You are numerate, commercially curious, confident on the phone, detail-oriented, and motivated by responsibility and performance.

 

Experience

  • Metals or trading experience not required
  • Backgrounds in business, economics, engineering, supply chain, or finance are helpful
  • Attitude and execution matter most
