Summer Bell Attendant

Location Description: Manor Vail Lodge is one of Vail's original and iconic properties. With studio, one, two and three-bedroom condominiums plus luxury penthouses, Manor Vail Lodge is a full-service condominium property that features all the amenities of a full-service hotel, including two outdoor heated swimming pools, four hot tubs, spa, fitness center, The Fitz Bar and Ridge + River restaurant. Located steps from Vail Village, Golden Peak ski area, Betty Ford Alpine Gardens, and the Ford Amphitheater, Manor Vail Lodge is the complete package for Vail lodging.  Manor Vail Lodge is managed by Mountain Mastery Management Inc.


Overview: The Bell Attendant assists guests and owners with luggage, tours of the property, directions, shuttle guests to areas around Vail, etc.

We plan to fill the position by February 23rd for a late May start date.  Able to work until Labor Day.

-Bell Attendants are in constant communication with the Front Office to ensure guests are escorted and their luggage and personal items are transported to and from the guest rooms efficiently.  

-It’s important to ensure that guests are comfortable with accommodations and are familiar with room offerings and features.  

-This highly visible role gives opportunity for casual conversation and hotel or local recommendations.  

-This position requires strong service orientation and strong communication skills.

-Escorts incoming hotel guests to rooms, assists with luggage, and offers information pertaining to available services and facilities of hotel, points of interest and directions.

 -Explains features of room such as operation of television, fireplace and how to place telephone calls and text the front desk.

-In charge of deliveries from Fed Ex, UPS, USPS.   Log in, schedule delivery or pick up to guest owners or employees through Package Zen.   Identifies future arrival – has guest services or front desk make traces on reservations for upcoming stays.  

 -Able to drive the Manor Vail Vehicle (with in Vail – East Vail to West Vail)

 -Keep the front drive clear of vehicles, assist with parking instructions for garage and surface lot.

 -Assist in keeping lobbies clean, coffee buffet station clean and full, market restock, back of front desk clear of trash and recycling and responsible for getting lobby amenities from 3-5pm.

 -Assist as a parking attendant for events as needed where you collect payment from guests.

 -Work in a cooperative work environment, which focuses on trusting relationships, ethics, dignity, maximum productivity, and team member morale.

  

Qualifications:

Education/Experience:

High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. 

 

Language Ability:

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.   Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.  Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

 

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. 

 

Reasoning Ability: 

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. 

 

Computer Skills: 

Able to use Smart phone.

 

Certificates and Licenses: 

Must have Valid Drivers License and clean driving record.
