We provide essential postsecondary and workforce readiness support through immersive education and skill-building programs. Partnering with colleges, trade programs, and corporations, we offer initiatives like college immersion days, job shadows, and professional development workshops.
Position Overview:
Are you ready to gain valuable, hands-on experience in nonprofit development and donor relations? Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Community Engagement Intern to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn key aspects of nonprofit fundraising strategy, donor stewardship, and development planning while contributing to a meaningful mission.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in outreach to current donors, sponsors, and grant makers to encourage sustained contributions via email and cold calls.
- Conduct research to identify and cultivate new donor prospects and funding sources.
- Develop and execute strategies for donor engagement, with a focus on sponsorships and recurring giving.
- Draft donor communications, including acknowledgment letters, impact updates, and reports.
- Track and report on donor engagement metrics, helping to inform strategic decisions.
- Collaborate with the team on creating and refining fundraising campaigns and materials.
- Help organize and coordinate donor appreciation events or initiatives.
- Maintain detailed donor records using our CRM system.
Qualifications:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor relations.
- Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
- Familiarity with CRM systems or databases is a plus (training provided).
- Comfortable with outreach, relationship-building, and networking.
- Creative, with an ability to contribute fresh ideas to fundraising strategies.
- Applicants from all majors are considered however Finance & Business Analyst majors are strongly encouraged to apply
