We provide essential postsecondary and workforce readiness support through immersive education and skill-building programs. Partnering with colleges, trade programs, and corporations, we offer initiatives like college immersion days, job shadows, and professional development workshops.

Position Overview:

Are you ready to gain valuable, hands-on experience in nonprofit development and donor relations? Yes, M.I.S.S. Inc. is seeking a driven, detail-oriented Community Engagement Intern to support our fundraising and donor engagement efforts. This role provides a unique opportunity to learn key aspects of nonprofit fundraising strategy, donor stewardship, and development planning while contributing to a meaningful mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in outreach to current donors, sponsors, and grant makers to encourage sustained contributions via email and cold calls.
  • Conduct research to identify and cultivate new donor prospects and funding sources.
  • Develop and execute strategies for donor engagement, with a focus on sponsorships and recurring giving.
  • Draft donor communications, including acknowledgment letters, impact updates, and reports.
  • Track and report on donor engagement metrics, helping to inform strategic decisions.
  • Collaborate with the team on creating and refining fundraising campaigns and materials.
  • Help organize and coordinate donor appreciation events or initiatives.
  • Maintain detailed donor records using our CRM system.

Qualifications:

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Interest in nonprofit development, fundraising, or donor relations.
  • Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and handle multiple tasks.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems or databases is a plus (training provided).
  • Comfortable with outreach, relationship-building, and networking.
  • Creative, with an ability to contribute fresh ideas to fundraising strategies.
  • Applicants from all majors are considered however Finance & Business Analyst majors are strongly encouraged to apply
