Position Summary

The Site Director leads UrbanPromise Wilmington’s After-School and Summer Camp programs serving youth in grades 1–8 at a neighborhood-based site. This role provides overall leadership for programming, staff supervision, site operations, and community engagement in alignment with UPW’s mission to reach children, raise leaders, and restore community.

Key Responsibilities

Program Leadership

• Plan and oversee after-school and summer programming
• Ensure safe, engaging, and mission-aligned activities
• Supervise daily site operations and special events

Staff Supervision

• Lead and supervise Site Coordinator, Team Leaders, Interns, and Volunteers
• Provide coaching, evaluations, and accountability
• Foster a healthy, collaborative team culture

Administration & Compliance

• Maintain schedules, curriculum plans, and required documentation
• Ensure adherence to safety and child protection policies
• Communicate regularly with UPW leadership

Community & Spiritual Engagement

• Build strong relationships with youth, families, and community partners
• Participate in staff spiritual development and ministry activities
• Support fundraising and relationship development efforts

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent communication with children and adults
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively
• Proficiency with Google Suite and virtual tools
• Commitment to Christian faith and alignment with UPW’s mission
