Azure Cloud Intern
Background on R&T:
Founded in 1974, R&T Deposit Solutions is a privately held financial technology company based in New York City. A recognized leader in the administration of insured deposit programs, R&T serves over 350 banks and financial institutions with over $179* Billion in assets under administration (AUA).
In 2022, with the support of Estancia Capital Management, R&T acquired Total Financial Solutions, expanding its product offerings, increasing the depth of its management team and operational capabilities. In August 2023, R&T received a strategic investment from GTCR, which acquired a 50% equity stake. The investment by GTCR in R&T is intended to further support and sustain R&T’s high rate of growth in its expanded deposit insurance programs, while also investing in further strengthening leadership, governance, risk management, and technology infrastructure.

Position Summary:
R&T is seeking a motivated rising senior to join our team as an Azure Cloud Intern this summer. This is a hands-on opportunity to work directly with our engineering team on cloud infrastructure and identity management in a real-world environment.
Responsibilities:
The intern will focus on Azure cloud administration and Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), supporting the infrastructure behind our enterprise. Day-to-day work will include:
- Designing and implementing Azure RBAC policies across subscriptions and resource groups
- Managing Entra ID (Azure AD) roles, groups, and access reviews
- Supporting cloud resource governance, tagging, and cost management
- Assisting with security posture reviews and least-privilege access enforcement
- Documenting processes and contributing to runbooks
Qualifications and Skills:
- Rising senior pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field
- Interest in Azure cloud services and identity/access management
- Familiarity with core cloud concepts (IaaS, PaaS, networking basics)
- Experience with or willingness to learn PowerShell or Azure CLI
- Self-starter comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment

This is a paid internship. Interns are paid a range of $20-22 per hour. The hours of operation are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. This is a hybrid internship based in Midtown Manhattan. The R&T Internship Program runs from approximately June 1, 2026 through August 7, 2026.
