CNC Programmer

Role Description
This is a full-time on-site entry level role for a CNC Programmer located in Irvington, NJ. Responsibilities include analyzing shop drawings, CAD models, and work orders to optimize CNC programs and ensuring efficient production cycles.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities
● Analyze shop drawings, CAD models, and work orders to develop, test , and optimize
CNC programs, ensuring accurate dimensions and efficient production cycles.
● Utilize CAD/COM software (AutoCad, Rhino, Alphacam & Cabinet Vision) to
translate designs into machine-readable code.
● Determine, select, and manage appreciate cutting tools, speeds and feed rates for
wood components.
● Perform inspections and adjustments to resolve issues with fit, tolerance, or finishes.
● Ensure proper material handling at all stages of processing.
● Support the shop with technical questions and troubleshooting.
● Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment.
● Responsible for immediately reporting all unsafe conditions and acts.
● Perform other duties and responsibilities as directed by the Supervisor and the Production Manager.


Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Computer Science
● Experience in the architectural millwork & casework as a CNC programmer.
● Experience in AutoCad, Rhino, Alphacam, Cabinet Vision and other CAM software.
● Experience in Homag CNC machines is a plus.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills
● Excellent oral and written communication
