State Professional Trainee
The Right of Way Bureau of the Alabama Department of Transportation is seeking candidates to become eligible for employment for the position of Right of Way Coordinator (salary range: $45,556.80 - $76,166.40) in Montgomery. This is an entry level position with a promotion pathway into higher positions. This is technical and professional work in property acquisition, property management, project coordination, and regulatory compliance in securing title to real estate as needed for transportation projects. The selected candidate will be directly appointed in a limited tenure job as a State Professional Trainee (salary range: $36,508.80 - $61,063.20) for a duration of two years during which time they will be provided the opportunity to complete the required course work and gain the required work experience to become eligible for a Right of Way Coordinator merit system position. The preferred candidate should have a degree from an accredited four-year university with a major in Real Estate, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Building Science, Construction Management, Engineering, or related field.
