RSBC UG Marketing Assistant Intern
The Rutgers School of Business–Camden (RSBC) seeks a qualified Marketing Assistant Intern to join our in-house Undergraduate Student Services teams. Our ideal candidate has experience with creating e-newsletters, flyers, posters and web banners and assisting in the implementation of marketing campaigns, and monitoring effectiveness. The position would assist, where possible, in implementing organic social media strategy, data analysis, photography, market research, and website updates.
Under the current environment, this position will be conducted in a hybrid format, with regular meetings with the Undergraduate Program Assistant Dean and/or other Undergraduate Program staff. Therefore, the ideal candidate must have access to a computer with the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator) is a plus, but not mandatory.
Specific duties may include:
- Assist the Undergraduate Program staff to plan, launch, and monitor marketing campaigns
- Create and manage the Undergraduate e-newsletter (bi-weekly correspondence)
- Provide input on online content on the School’s website and social media accounts
- Update content on UG website (i.e. event banners, student spotlights etc.)
- Research blog topics and posts relevant to the UG program
- Maintain strict organization of your work in Box drive etc.
- Meet deadlines, as assigned by the UG Program staff
Minimum Skills Required
- Working knowledge of MS Office
- Strong communication, grammar, typographical, and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced environment and excellent problem-solving skills
- Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines
Good knowledge of market research techniques and databases
Additional Skills Preferred
- Marketing major/minor preferred, or equivalent experience
- Working knowledge of marketing computer software and online applications (CRM tools, Online analytics, Google Ads, etc.)
- Tech-savvy individual who understands social media algorithms and advertising across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Snapchat
- Previous experience as a marketing assistant
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS and experience in utilizing web content management systems (WordPress) to manage websites
