BIM Intern

Our Team:

LiRo’s Virtual Design, Construction and Operations team, based in lower-Manhattan, is a dynamic interdisciplinary group of designers, engineers, and construction managers. We are leaders in providing the latest in BIM, experience simulations (Virtual and mixed reality), 4D scheduling, risk analysis, coordination and clash detection for some of the largest and most interesting construction projects in New York City. We are constantly developing tools and workflows on how to make buildings smarter through the use of cutting-edge tech. We recently earned an award at Autodesk’s AEC Excellence Awards under the Infrastructure BIM Category, for our work on the East Side Access mega project.  

The position:

LiRo VDCO is accepting resumes for a unique 3-month paid internship. The selected intern will gain hands-on experience assisting on the BIM of some of the most interesting projects in North America. Our intern will be trained in virtual design, construction & operations fundamentals, such as modeling using Autodesk Revit, BIM-project setup, Navisworks, BIM asset management fundamentals.

You:

·        We’re looking for interns that have a drive and intellectual desire to solve real-world problems by innovative means, share ideas, and are self-starters as well as strong team players.

·        Qualified candidates should have some course-work or knowledge using Revit and experience in the field of Architecture or Construction Management preferred

·        Enrolled in accredited Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, Data analytics/ computer science  

·        Working towards undergraduate or graduate degrees in the United States

·        Familiarity or interest in learning Autodesk products' API or Dynamo is a plus

·        Proficient with Excel, knowledge of creating Macros is a plus
