GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
Camp NOVA is a 7-day, 6-night overnight camp for youth and adults living with epilepsy and/or other intellectual and developmental disabilities. Camp NOVA will take place from July 18th - July 25th 2026 at Camp Linwood-MacDonald in Sandyston, NJ (Sussex County). Camp NOVA activities include: arts and crafts, sports, music, swimming, boating, fishing, and evening outings.
Camp NOVA is hosted by Epilepsy Services of New Jersey, an affiliate of The Family Resource Network. We are seeking energetic, responsible individuals for the 2026 camp season.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise 3-4 campers and ensure they are engaged in camp activities
Assist campers with daily care routines and health needs
Responsible for assigned campers 24/7 throughout the week
Responsible for maintaining the health, safety, and well-being of the individuals that are assigned to you
Maintain mental and physical alertness and an appropriate level of energy to perform essential job requirement
Encourages and models appropriate social behaviors and interactions
Demonstrates a friendly, courteous, and professional demeanor
Ensures that all work is carried out in a manner that is both respectful and empowering to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
