Program Support Specialist (Fire Support) GS-9
Summary
This position is assigned to the Region 6 Fire and Aviation Management unit in the Pacific Northwest.
This position is responsible for performing liaison duties for all administrative matters relating to individual Fire and Aviation Management Program Training Centers.

Duties
- Manages the various administrative processes within the office and ensure that procedures meet office needs.
- Monitors internal operations and ensures the establishment and maintenance of confidential, personnel, and administrative files.
- Reviews and analyzes administrative policies, clarifies complex and confusing guidelines, and makes recommendations to higher level staff for changes to administrative policy.
- Provides a variety of office and facilitation services essential to support the overall program effort, which may include grants and agreements, procurement, personal property, and travel.
- Reviews, coordinates, and evaluates correspondence for adherence to proper procedures, policies, and regulations.
- Serves as the point of contact and liaison on budget-related issues
- Coordinates fiscal year budgets by maintaining, reviewing, monitoring, and reconciling a variety of records through transaction registers, purchase orders, account records, and data from other financial control documents.
