Job Summary
The Human Resources Intern provides administrative and project support to the HR team while gaining hands-on experience in various HR functions, including recruitment, onboarding, employee engagement, and HR operations. This role is ideal for students interested in pursuing a career in human resources.
Essential Functions
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with recruitment efforts, including posting job openings, reviewing resumes, and scheduling interviews
- Support onboarding activities such as preparing new hire paperwork and coordinating orientation sessions
- Maintain and update employee records and HR databases with accuracy and confidentiality
- Assist with employee engagement initiatives, events, and internal communications
- Provide administrative support to HR team members on various projects and daily tasks
- Help track and organize training and development programs
- Support benefits and payroll processes as needed
- Conduct research on HR best practices and assist with policy updates
- Work on projects as assigned to help streamline internal HR processes and help to drive efficiency

Job Requirements and Qualifications
Education:
- Actively pursuing a bachelors degree from an accredited college/university in Psychology or a related field
Experience:
• Active student; previous internship experience preferred
Qualifications:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook); overall very technologically proficient; comfortable using Zoom and Teams. Familiarity with HRIS systems preferred
- Interest and/or experience in AI
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Strong data entry skills, and high attention to detail
- Strong organizational skills
- Good communication skills
- Interest in pursuing a career in Human Resources
