Part-Time Coding & Programming Instructor (Scratch Programming) – Miami, FL

Learn2Code.Live is seeking motivated and tech-savvy Coding Instructors to teach in-person Scratch Programming classes for K–12 students in Miami, FL.

Location: 11700 SW 216th St, Miami, FL 33170 (In-Person)
Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time | After-School Programs

Learn2Code.Live delivers hands-on, interactive coding and programming experiences for K–12 students. We’re looking for enthusiastic instructors who enjoy working with kids and are excited to teach foundational programming skills through Scratch, fostering creativity, logic, and problem-solving.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead engaging Scratch Programming lessons for elementary, middle, and high school students
  • Teach foundational coding concepts such as sequencing, loops, events, conditionals, and variables
  • Use our structured, ready-to-teach curriculum to guide students through creative coding projects
  • Foster a supportive, collaborative, and engaging classroom environment
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and logical thinking through hands-on activities
  • Adapt instruction to different age groups and learning styles (K–12)
  • Track student progress and provide constructive, encouraging feedback
  • Support students individually and in small groups as needed
  • Communicate professionally with parents, school staff, and the Learn2Code.Live team
  • Take ownership of classroom management while maintaining a positive learning experience
  • Share feedback to help improve curriculum and instructional practices

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Current Computer Science student, recent graduate, or someone with strong interest in coding
  • Comfortable using Scratch or willing to quickly learn it (experience with Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C/C++ is a plus)
  • Tech-savvy and confident using classroom technology and digital tools
  • Creative, adaptable, and able to keep students engaged in hands-on learning
  • Patient, empathetic, and able to explain coding concepts in multiple ways
  • Comfortable leading K–12 students in a classroom setting
  • Organized, reliable, and able to manage in-person sessions independently
  • Prior teaching, tutoring, or mentoring experience is a plus—but not required
