Learn2Code.Live is hiring Part-Time Scratch Programming Instructors for a Summer 2026 in-person program in Fresno, CA. This is a hands-on, project-based teaching role where you’ll introduce K–12 students to the world of coding through Scratch—helping them build games, animations, and interactive stories.

 

This is a structured summer-only program starting June 16, designed for instructors who want meaningful, short-term teaching experience with real impact. No lesson planning required—everything is provided.

 

Location: 6514 West Gettysburg Ave., Fresno, CA 93723 (In-Person)
Start Date: June 16 (Summer Program)
Hours: ~14 hours per week
Pay Rate: $25–$40 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time | Summer Program (In-Person)

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging Scratch Programming lessons for K–12 students
  • Teach core concepts such as sequencing, loops, events, conditionals, and variables
  • Guide students in building interactive games, animations, and stories
  • Create a fun, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapt instruction for different age groups and skill levels
  • Encourage creativity, problem-solving, and collaboration
  • Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
  • Support students individually and during hands-on activities
  • Maintain smooth classroom flow during each session
  • Communicate with staff and contribute to improving instruction

 

🧠 Qualifications

  • Background or strong interest in Computer Science, Education, or related fields (students and recent graduates welcome)
  • Familiarity with Scratch or willingness to learn quickly
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, C/C++) is a plus
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Comfortable working with K–12 students in a classroom setting
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to commit to a summer schedule (~14 hours/week in person)
  • Passion for teaching and making learning fun and engaging

 

⭐ Preferred (Not Required)

  • Teaching, tutoring, mentoring, or camp experience
  • Experience in STEM education or youth programs
  • Prior Scratch project or coding experience with kids
