Architectural Designer

Doban Architecture is an award-winning Brooklyn-based architecture firm focused on educational and both new construction, renovation, and restoration projects.

We are seeking an entry level graduate architect with up to two years of professional experience to join our team.

Responsibilities:

· Work closely with Principals and Managers in development of educational and other project. These include new construction as well as renovation and interiors projects.

· Produce drawings for all design phases, schematic design through construction documents.

· Assist in preparation of sketches, submittal review, and RFI’s for projects in construction administration.

· Develop details and edit specifications.

· Coordinate and communicate with vendors, consultants, and contractors.

Qualifications/Skills:

· Applicants must have a B.Arch/M.Arch from an accredited school of architecture.

· Applicants must have proficiency in AutoCAD. Revit and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator/InDesign/Photoshop) desirable.

· Experience working with design documentation, construction drawings, with a strong emphasis on detailing. Prior experience in all project phases is desirable.

· Prior experience on New York City School Construction Authority (NYCSCA) projects is highly desirable.

· Prior experience on multi-family residential projects is desirable.

· Prior experience and with New York City Department of Buildings filing and zoning is desirable.

· Self-motivated, energetic, a flexible team player, able to work on multiple projects independently and within a team and able to manage time effectively.

· Ideal applicants have strong communication skills with an eagerness to learn. Experience and curiosity regarding construction detailing is desirable. Strong Design and presentation skills are desirable.

· Applicant must be able to legally work in the USA.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
