Civil/Environmental Engineer
This position is responsible for providing engineering services to support the Narragansett Bay Commission (NBC) with flow monitoring, hydraulic evaluations, connection permits, engineering plan reviews, specifications, data analyses, report preparation and other engineering support services. The position will be responsible for quantifying flow data and capacity evaluations, oversight of assets in the collection system, review of design and construction plans for sewer connection permits, field inspections, report writing, and various other tasks associated with maintaining the sewerage collection system assets.
Applicants must have graduated from a four-year technical college degree program in civil/environment engineering or equivalent.
Applicants must have a thorough knowledge of engineering principles, techniques and procedures as applied to sanitary engineering, hydraulics and construction management.
Applicant should have a familiarity with software programs such as AutoCAD and GIS.
Applicant must be proficient with Office software products.
Applicant must have excellent communication/interpersonal skills, written skills, attention to details, and ability to read/understand plans and specifications.
Must possess a valid driver's license in good standing.
