Junior Analyst Intern

Location open to the Stuart, Florida Awbury Office.

 

OPPORTUNITY/MISSION The Junior Analyst Intern will be responsible for assisting the marketing, product, structuring, operations and accounting team with all aspects in the lifecycle of bespoke financial transactions from research and origination to booking, reconciliation and reporting as well as facilitating the information flow with internal and external stakeholders. They will also assist with AML/KYC and work with the broad team on the transaction closing process. The successful candidate will have advanced communication skills, as well as an innate ability to simplify complex concepts and to plan, prioritize and seamlessly assist the broader team in multiple areas as required. This role includes a significant opportunity to grow with the business, and to have considerable access to the deal and business team. 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES • Assist with AML/KYC processes for internal and external clients • Assist with closing large bespoke transactions with global financial counterparties • Assist with data gathering and analysis for marketing, origination and reporting • Allocate and book journal entries across multiple internal accounts • Reconcile cash and positions with external parties and across systems • Monitor collateral accounts and exposures • Understanding of standard US GAAP financial statements • Ad hoc projects and analysis as required • Considerable growth opportunities 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS • Prior experience with financial products including private equity, bonds, CLO and FX • Excellent time management, problem solving, teamwork, and communication skills; strong interpersonal skill • Knowledge of Excel and other Microsoft Office applications required; working knowledge/willingness to learn Bloomberg, Intex and similar financial applications • Self-motivated with a strong work ethic • Strong accuracy aptitude and detail orientation • Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure within a deadline-oriented environment
