Marketing Social Media Intern

Job description
This internship is designed for a college student interested in social media, digital marketing, hospitality, wellness content, branding, communications, and event storytelling. You’ll work 10 hours per week and gain hands-on experience inside a fast-growing hospitality brand.
You will support social media posting, content creation, brand communication, and event marketing using structured weekly workflows.
Key Responsibilities (10 Hours/Week)
The intern will follow a structured weekly schedule broken into 60-minute blocks:
Content Creation + Strategy
- Assist in planning weekly content themes based on events, initiatives, and brand priorities
- Research trending audios, hospitality trends, and competitor content
- Draft early-round captions in a polished brand voice
- Capture behind-the-scenes content (optional for events)
Digital Asset Management
- Sort and organize weekly photos/videos into Google Drive
- Tag and label content by category for easy retrieval
- Maintain inspiration and brand mood boards
Social Media Execution
- Create basic graphics or story templates via Adobe Express
- Prepare rough-cut reels using Edits or native editing tools
- Schedule posts using Meta Business Suite
- Track weekly analytics including reach, engagement, shares, saves, and follower growth
Community Engagement
- Identify opportunities for brand interaction
- Save and organize user-generated content
- Monitor community comments and engagement (draft responses only)
Reporting + Communication
- Submit a weekly 5-bullet summary of progress
- Communicate needs, ideas, and schedules with the Creative Director and CEO
- Maintain professional, timely communication throughout the internship
Minimum Requirements
- Current student pursuing a degree in Marketing, Communications, Digital Media, Hospitality, Business, Culinary Arts, or related field
- Ability to commit 10-15 hours per week consistently
- Strong writing skills and attention to detail
- Basic understanding of Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and Meta
- Reliable communication and ability to follow structured workflows
- Highly organized with the ability to manage digital files
- A creative mindset and interest in hospitality + food content
Preferred Skills (Not Required, But a Plus)
- Experience with Adobe Express, Canva, CapCut, or Meta scheduling tools
- Photography or videography interest (iPhone acceptable)
- Knowledge of social media trends and content formats
- Strong aesthetic eye for design, color, and layout
- Experience in hospitality, food service, culinary, wellness, or event planning
- Google Drive organization skills
- Basic analytics or data tracking skills
- Ability to attend occasional events for content capture
