We help K–12 students develop advanced problem-solving, STEM, and critical-thinking skills through innovative educational programs, including advanced mathematics, chess, coding, AI, physics, and academic mentorship.

Job Summary

We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Graphic Design Intern for the summer. In this role, you will receive hands-on mentorship while supporting the conceptual design and creation of visual materials for social media, student programs, parent communications, and marketing campaigns.

This position is ideal for an undergraduate or graduate student looking to build a robust commercial portfolio in graphic design, visual branding, or marketing illustration within a supportive, prestigious EdTech environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design marketing and communication materials for digital and print use.
  • Create flyers, posters, brochures, social media graphics, banners, thumbnails, and presentation slides.
  • Support visual design for programs, events, workshops, seasonal campaigns, and parent-facing materials.
  • Help develop brand-consistent templates for social media posts, newsletters, presentations, and program materials.
  • Edit and format images, icons, layouts, typography, and visual assets.
  • Assist with basic photo editing, resizing, cropping, and file preparation.
  • Work with marketing, operations, and academic team members to understand design needs and project goals.
  • Organize design files, templates, images, logos, fonts, and visual assets.
  • Revise design drafts based on team feedback.
  • Prepare final files for print, web, email, and social media platforms.

Requirements

  • Current student (undergraduate or graduate) in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Digital Media, Marketing, Fine Arts, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in either Canva or industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Figma).
  • A strong eye for layout, typography, color theory, and visual consistency.
  • Reliable remote setup (computer and stable internet). Note: Optional in-person collaboration is available at our Tenafly, NJ office.
  • Strong communication skills and a growth mindset open to constructive feedback.

Preferred Qualifications (Bonus Points)

  • A preliminary portfolio, website, or class projects showing layout design, social media graphics, or flyers.
  • Basic photo editing, vector illustration, or motion graphics experience.
  • An interest in K-12 education, STEM, or youth enrichment programs.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Mandarin (highly valued for supporting bilingual marketing collateral and parent communications).
