Learn2Code.Live is hiring Part-Time Scratch Programming Instructors for our Summer 2026 in-person program in Fresno, CA. This exciting, project-based course introduces K–12 students to the fundamentals of coding through Scratch, a visual programming language developed to make learning computer science fun, creative, and accessible.

 

Students will create their own games, animations, stories, and interactive projects while developing problem-solving, logical thinking, and computational skills in a supportive and engaging environment.

 

This is a summer-only program with all curriculum, lesson plans, and project materials provided—no lesson planning required.

 

Location: 6514 West Gettysburg Ave., Fresno, CA 93723 (In-Person)
Start Date: July 13, 2026
Hours: Approximately 30 hours per week
Pay Rate: $25–$35 per hour
Position Type: Part-Time | Summer Program (In-Person)

🎯 Key Responsibilities

  • Lead engaging Scratch Programming classes for K–12 students
  • Teach fundamental coding concepts including sequences, loops, conditionals, variables, and events
  • Guide students in creating games, animations, stories, and interactive projects
  • Demonstrate programming concepts through hands-on activities and step-by-step instruction
  • Foster a fun, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment
  • Adapt instruction for different ages and skill levels
  • Encourage creativity, critical thinking, and problem-solving
  • Monitor student progress and provide positive feedback
  • Assist students individually during project development
  • Maintain classroom organization and student engagement throughout the program

 

🧠 Qualifications

  • Strong interest in computer science, coding, technology, or STEM education
  • Familiarity with Scratch or other programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, Java, or C++
  • Comfortable using computers and teaching technology concepts to students
  • Patient, energetic, and enthusiastic about working with K–12 learners
  • Strong communication and classroom management skills
  • Reliable and punctual for in-person summer sessions (~30 hours/week)
  • Passion for inspiring students through coding and creative learning
  • No formal teaching experience required

 

⭐ Preferred (Not Required)

  • Computer Science students or recent graduates
  • Experience with Scratch or block-based programming platforms
  • Teaching, tutoring, camp, or youth program experience
  • Experience with robotics, coding clubs, or STEM enrichment programs
