Recruiting Coordinator

Join our Talent Acquisition team as a Recruiting Coordinator. We are actively hiring for someone to support our team of Recruiters and HR Generalists by providing a world-class experience to our hiring teams and candidates. This role will initially focus on interview scheduling and new hire onboarding activities with opportunity to take on additional recruiting and sourcing responsibilities as time permits. You will work with a variety of DRS hiring managers and teams and need to be comfortable balancing multiple sites and time zones.

 

The Recruiting Coordinator has hybrid flexibility - work at least 2 days in office and the balance of the week remotely from home.

What will you do

  • Work closely with Recruiters, HR Business Partners, and hiring teams to efficiently manage the recruiting and interviewing process
  • Scheduling of all interview activity for up to 5 DRS locations using Outlook and Teams; coordinate multi-person interview teams and calendars; manage reschedule requests as needed
  • Support new hire onboarding tasks including background checks, new hire paperwork, IT set up, and more
  • Communicate clearly and efficiently to candidates, new hires, Recruiters, HR Business Partners, hiring managers, and interview teams
  • Conduct a variety of tasks necessary for ensuring a great interview and new hire experience - welcoming candidates, facilitating onsite interviews, participating in new hire orientation, etc.
  • Assist with recruiting and sourcing support to all 5 Naval Power Systems sites
  • Assist with onboarding and events for summer interns

Experience requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience supporting a fast-paced team with scheduling activity (interviews, meetings, events, or similar)
  • Someone with a continuous improvement mindset - we have a process but are always open to making it better!
  • Highly proficient with Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and Teams
  • Must be flexible and willing to move between projects and tasks quickly and as needed
  • Able listen to others and to work well as part of a team
  • Excellent writing and verbal skills
