Part-Time Advancement & Communications Office Assistant

Cumberland Academy of Georgia is a fully accredited, independent school specializing in the needs of students with autism, ADHD, and other learning differences. Our mission is to empower independent neurodiverse students with ASD, ADHD, and learning differences by offering strong academics and social skills in a safe, supportive, structured environment. We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented, and self-motivated individual to join our Advancement and Communications Department as a Part-Time Office Assistant.

Position Overview
The Advancement & Communications Office Assistant will support the department in promoting the school’s mission, elevating our brand, strengthening community engagement, and assisting with fundraising initiatives. The ideal candidate is a creative visionary with strong communication skills who can work independently, present fresh ideas, and learn quickly.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with the daily operations of the Advancement and Communications Office
  • Create engaging digital content for social media and school communication channels
  • Manage and schedule posts using Planable
  • Support marketing initiatives, graphic design projects, and brand consistency
  • Help maintain the school’s website and assist with basic HTML updates (preferred)
  • Assist in planning, coordinating, and executing fundraising events (Gala, Golf Tournament, school events, etc.)
  • Maintain and update the donor database, including data entry, reporting, and stewardship tracking
  • Collaborate on campaigns, newsletters, and promotional materials
  • Provide general administrative support to the department

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Canva, Planable, Instagram, and Facebook
  • Experience with social media strategy, marketing, and design
  • Strong writing and communication skills
  • Highly creative with the ability to bring new ideas forward
  • Fast learner with strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CRM platforms (donor or customer management systems)
  • Experience with website design or updates
  • Basic knowledge of HTML
  • Experience in nonprofit advancement, fundraising, or communications is a plus
