Architect and Design Business Manager
In your role as A&D Business Manager your target market will be architects, designers, and builders. This role should focus on increasing Stonewood Products’ presence by utilizing our extensive product offerings with new accounts located within your assigned territory while also creating business relationships. The A&D Business Manager will be responsible for cultivating new customer relationships, generating new business, connecting and influencing the builder, architect, and designer community, and creating product demand. This position is key to the establishment and growth in new markets while connecting our product lines to these customer types.
Essential Duties (including but not limited to):
- Sales
- Grows sales through the execution of sales plans & objectives to drive sales.
- Manage and grow sales with assigned accounts.
- Prospect and uncover new customers.
- Create and hold successful events to create excitement around product lines and build relationships.
- Territory Management of West of Boston and Route 128 area
- Identify and manage needs in the territory, starting with one additional salesperson in the territory.
- Identify and pursue every architect, designer, and builder in the territory.
- Strategize customers with an agreed plan.
- Product and Service Knowledge:
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the company’s products, services, and promotions.
- Educate customers about product features and benefits to help them make informed decisions.
- Team Collaboration, Documentation and Reporting:
- Record details of all customer interactions and transactions in HubSpot.
- Meet with Sales Director Weekly, Monthly, & Quarterly to discuss sales activities
- Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to address and resolve customer issues.
- Customer Experience Enhancement:
- Identify opportunities to improve customer service processes and suggest improvements.
- Strive to exceed customer expectations and contribute to overall customer satisfaction and loyalty.
Requirements
- Minimum expectation is 45 hours per week, including some weekends and holidays. As part of the sales team, you are required to be available during off hours and respond to calls and emails in a prompt manner.
- You will be expected to attend trade shows and networking events on a regular basis. As a representative of Stonewood Products, you are expected to always maintain a professional demeanor, to be at work during scheduled times, dress appropriately and complete tasks on time.
- Daily travel documentation is required to support business related travel, expenses, and hours worked on company provided forms.
- Any approved telecommuting arrangement made will be on a trial basis and may be discontinued at any time at the request of either the telecommuter or the Company and will be subject to all required reporting and compliance requirements.
- Computer proficiency in excel, ERP, Hubspot, etc.
- Proven experience in a sale or purchasing role.
