Benefits Advisor
Aflac Benefits Advisors is an independent contractor and sales representative who helps business owners and their employees select and enroll in supplemental, voluntary insurance products. They build local business relationships, identify coverage gaps, and guide clients through the enrollment process.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Acquisition: Prospect and schedule meetings with business owners and HR leaders to pitch voluntary benefits (e.g., accident, cancer, and disability coverage).
- Employee Education: Conduct group or one-on-one presentations to educate workers on their supplemental insurance options.
- Account Management: Facilitate the enrollment process, act as a liaison between the client and Aflac, and assist with claims or policy questions.
- Ongoing Support: Meet with clients annually to review workforce demographics and adjust their benefits packages accordingly
Requirements & Qualifications

Compensation & Structure
- Commission-Based: Advisors are independent business owners who earn money primarily through commissions and renewals, with typical upfront setup costs (e.g., licensing and exams) of around $350.
- Incentives: Earnings are highly performance-driven, often featuring stock bonus plans, cash incentives, and award trips.
