Position Summary

Launch your construction career with hands-on experience at Concrete Strategies. As a Scheduling Intern, you’ll work alongside scheduling professionals, project managers, and field leaders to see firsthand how complex construction projects are planned, coordinated, and delivered.

You’ll gain practical experience with project schedules, progress tracking, construction sequencing, and industry scheduling tools while contributing to active projects. This internship is an opportunity to build valuable project controls skills, learn from experienced construction professionals, and understand how effective planning drives safe, efficient, and on-time project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and updating of construction project schedules.
  • Track project progress and help identify schedule changes or potential impacts.
  • Gather schedule information from project managers, superintendents, and field teams.
  • Review drawings and project information to learn construction sequencing and planning.
  • Assist with schedule reports, presentations, and project planning meetings.
  • Gain hands-on experience with scheduling software and project controls processes.
  • Collaborate with project and field teams on active construction projects.

Required Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Interest in construction scheduling, project controls, or operations.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Desire to learn and work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous construction or engineering experience or internship.
  • Exposure to construction scheduling, CPM concepts, or Primavera P6.
  • Basic understanding of construction drawings and sequencing.
