The U.S. Navy Nuclear Propulsion Officer program offers driven STEM students and graduates the opportunity to combine engineering, leadership, and advanced nuclear technology in a career with real responsibility from the start.
As a Navy Nuclear Officer, you may operate and manage nuclear propulsion systems aboard aircraft carriers or submarines, oversee highly technical engineering teams, support reactor design and operations, or train the next generation of Navy nuclear professionals. You’ll receive extensive technical and leadership training while working in one of the most demanding and highly respected engineering programs in the military.
For qualified college students, the Nuclear Propulsion Officer Candidate (NUPOC) Program allows you to begin earning full-time military pay and benefits while completing your degree—and remain a full-time student with no military duties while in school.
