Part-Time Wordpress Developer

‪GP Menco is looking for a graduate student with WordPress development experience, and a true passion for building great consumer websites. Our ideal candidate will provide well-structured and well-documented code and communicate effectively with the founders of GP Menco. 

‪This role would begin as a 6-week part-time opportunity, between 10 and 15 hours per week, with a potential extension. The work will be done remotely, with a weekly meeting close to campus with the founders.

‪What you'll do:

•      ‪Develop WordPress features from an existing theme

•      Integrate plug-ins

•      Create some custom developments

•      Help optimize SEO

•      WordPress experience.

•      WordPress theme / plugin integration experience. Using modules as well as creating custom Themes and Plugins.

•      Front-end and back-end development skills, including HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL.

•      Strong sense of mobile design and an understanding of the fundamentals of user experience

•      ‪An understanding of search-engine optimization (SEO), as well as site-speed optimization

•      Working knowledge of Photoshop and other associated design tools

•      Ability to create wireframes as well as visual design comps.

GP Menco’s team has experience in education technology and retail. We are building a new business in home decoration. We are looking to change the industry by building an exciting direct-to-consumer full service organization.
