Interdisciplinary Project Engineer


  • Administer the military and or civil works projects which may include channel dredging, underwater rock blasting and removal, beach restoration, jetty reconstruction, flood protection projects, and vertical and horizontal military constructions.
  • Establish detailed project requirements; review pre-bid plans and specifications to confirm that all the details contained therein are clear to avoid potential differences or interpretations.
  • Conduct visual inspection of construction projects; investigates and report construction problems, deficiencies, and controversial situations encountered at the construction site.
  • Verify that workmanship complies with plans and specifications; exercise independent judgment in distinguishing between compliance and non-compliance of workmanship, materials, equipment, and safety requirements
  • Prepare and/or directs the preparation of job records, reports of progress, work placement, payment estimates, work-as-built drawings, and drafts of change orders encountered at the site.
  • Review and evaluate detailed "before" and "after" dredge survey quantity calculations to determine their accuracy and adequacy.
  • Recommends change orders and modifications to contract; coordinate activities, clarify government policies, and to resolve differences of opinion; confers with contractor's representatives to resolve differences.
  • Pay ranges from $34,395 to $93,077 depending on pay scale selected.
