We are seeking a Heavy Civil Estimator to join our team for a long term career opportunity. The essential duties and responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

 

•Review, interpret, and accurately estimate scopes of work as described in the project documents

•Prepares take-off and pricing for civil disciplines

•Participate in putting final bid together on bid day, attends pre-bid conferences as requested

•Responsible for all aspects of estimating including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, value engineering, and subcontractor bidding

•Solicit and collect subcontractor/vendor bids and quotations

•Advanced knowledge of construction practices and procedures

•Previous experience with State agencies (NJDOT, NJ Turnpike, NJ Transit, Port Authority of NY & NJ)

 

A Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field is desired. Applicants must be able to handle multiple projects at one time, possess the ability to successfully understand the implications of project terms and conditions, manage tight deadlines, demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills, possess ability to collaborate with various levels of management and demonstrate proficiency in computer software skills specifically with HCSS estimating software.
