The tasks and responsibilities required of a Supply Chain Analytic Internship are outlined below:
- Perform hands-on analysis, design, and development of analytical solutions
- Analyze large amounts of diverse information to discover trends and patterns
- Present complex information using data visualization techniques
- Identify actionable insights, make recommendations, and communicate results to business and technical audiences
- Develop analytical solutions by applying data science and modeling techniques for actionable insights to make better decisions and better business performance.
- Drive the collection of new data and the refinement of existing data sources
- Prepare and clean structured and/or unstructured data
- Establish strong working relationships with cross-functional teams to formulate business problems and validate assumptions
- Assess new technologies, as needed, as related to solving business problems
- Analyze business goals and objectives and assist in refining performance metric collection efforts.
- Help plan and design business processes and make recommendations for improvement
- Perform research and analysis in support of analytics to support operations
- Assist in resolving business issues using systems and data
- Research ways to analyze data using different statistical methods.
- Assist in the data mining of operational metrics by creating and executing reports for publication.
- Improve data store capabilities and document new processes
Internship Goals:
- Improve our reporting capabilities by researching different data collection and analysis technologies
- Increase our awareness of business improvements from our data
- Improve our data store and consolidate information to a readily available format to query against
Minimum qualifications required for a Supply Chain Analytic Intern are outlined below:
- Pursuing a Bachelor or Master’s degree in business administration, supply chain, operations research, computer science, or analytics field
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Completed at least 3 years of school at an accredited college/university
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment with high quality work standards
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Enthusiasm for learning.
Preferred Qualifications for a Supply Chain Analytic Intern are outlined below:
- Advanced data analysis skills
- Programming experience (Python, SQL, R, VBA)
- Understanding of basic supply chain operations
- Analytic and process experience with PowerBI, Power Apps
