IT Consulting Graduate Intern

Internship Location:
This role is scheduled to be 100% remote. While remote, finalists MUST reside in a one of the following states to be eligible for employment with Kaiser Permanente: CA, CO, DC, GA, HI, MD, NY, OR, VA, or WA. 
Department Description:
The IoT, Device, and Emerging Technology team in Enterprise Architecture works across many business and technology domains to bring new technology into KP. We research, analyze, and experiment with emerging technologies for their potential in KP and advocate for the best short-term innovation opportunities. We apply these technologies to prototype new experiences hands-on, and partner with other teams to determine the best way forward through strategy, architecture, and operations planning. We currently have a focus on IoT, VR/AR, AI/ML, NLU, and Computer Vision, but the emerging technologies change as needs shift.
Intern Projects:
  • Research, analyze, and experiment with emerging technologies for their potential in KP and advocate for the best short-term opportunities
  • Apply new technologies to prototype new experiences (e.g., VR, AR, AI/ML, Computer Vision, IoT, and more)
  • Partner with other teams to identify business case opportunities for emerging technology adoption (e.g., POCs/prototypes, strategy, pilots) and help create supporting content
Target Majors:
 Computer Science; Business Administration; Management; Computer Information Systems;
Target Skillset:
  • Ability to learn new technologies quickly
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and finding creative solutions
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with both technical and business leadership audiences
  • Coding experience in any computer language
  • Agile and self-starter mindset
  • Experience with any of the following emerging technologies: IoT, computer vision, VR/AR/MR, chatbots/NLU, AI/ML
  • Multimedia, marketing, and/or communications experience (writing articles, editing videos, crafting persuasive content)
