Pioneer Power Group, one of the leading electrical engineering firms in the Mid-Atlantic, is seeking a Business Developer to fill a full-time role. This job will require approximately 30% travel to visit clients, prospects, and our Maryland HQ office periodically. We are looking for an ambitious and energetic person to help us expand from our core customer base into tangential and related segments. You will be responsible for driving sustainable sales and forging strong relationships with clients.

This is a full-time position, salary and commission, with 25% travel in the US.
Responsibilities:
A portion of the work will be with existing customers as the Company seeks to increase the market and dollar share of this segment. The remaining will be working on new customers and segments.
· Research and identify prospective accounts in target markets
· Work diligently to identify leads, educate prospects on our services through calls, in person visits, trainings, and presentations, and provide existing customers with exceptional support to move them through the sales cycle with the eventual goal of converting them to long term clients.
· Follow up with existing customers in various sales cadences – those who have quoted to us in the past and/or ordered recently.
· Prospect and qualify new sales leads
· Develop and maintain strong, ongoing relationships with prospects and customers through calls and in person visits.
· Create, plan, and deliver presentations on company services and products.
· Track specific sales activities/information in company CRM system and keep current by updating account information regularly
· Provide ongoing customer service/support and other business-related tasks or office duties
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field
· Experience in sales is preferred; we will provide industry specific trainings but having electrical industry sales knowledge is a plus (i.e. having experience calling on electrical contractors or electrical distributors)
· Proven track record of successfully managing customer relationships.
· Excellent interpersonal skills, highly self-motivated and have a strong attention to detail.
· Strong verbal and written communication skills and enjoys learning.
