Corporate Social Responsibility Intern

This position is tied to our New York City office which will be remote, with the possibility of some in-office days. The role can also be based at another PineBridge office in the US for the right candidate. Those in our Los Angeles, Westport, or Fort Lauderdale offices will operate via our hybrid model, with an expectation of 3-4 days in-office and 1-2 remote.
PineBridge is seeking a summer intern to join our Corporate Responsibility Team to support activities led by four strategic committees in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG), Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI), Company Responsibility and Stewardship. These committees are led by senior professionals from investment, business development, marketing, legal, compliance, and product. This internship will focus on how to support the various implementation aspects tied to this effort. We hope students will learn to be a great partner with external clients and internal stakeholders.
Our summer internship program will span over ten weeks and provide students with the opportunity to: interact with and be mentored by our senior team members, assume ownership of significant projects, and experience personal and professional growth.
Compensation: $15-$30 / hour
*The above range represents the typical hourly rate for this job requisition. Ultimately, in determining your pay, we'll consider your location, experience, and other job-related factors.
Responsibilities:
- Provide over-arching support across our four CR committees, including coordination of issues that span across the Committees; work collaboratively with members of the Committees to increase efficiency and help the Committees achieve their stated goals; this will include monitoring and reporting on assigned deliverables and work stream updates.
- Assist with all Corporate Responsibility initiatives globally, such as Net Zero Asset Managers and United Nations Global Compact
- Collaborate with RFP team to develop clear, accurate and persuasive RFP and DDQ responses that can be used with clients and prospects to describe PineBridge’s processes and approach to Corporate Responsibility.
- Conduct research projects of relevant industry trends, regulations, and changes in investor behaviors related to the four strategic areas for CR at PineBridge
- Prepare briefing notes and presentation materials to be used in meetings and assist with post-meeting follow-up, including analysis, data requests, and meeting notes.
- Analyze data regarding ESG factors across portfolios (MSCI, UNGC monthly global coordination, NZAM data)
- Operate as a phenomenal teammate with an ability to build relationships with all colleagues across the organization to support our CR initiatives. This will include assisting our team members in NY and Mumbai, as well as working collaboratively with all colleagues across the globe to achieve our goals and continue delivering highly productive results.
Qualifications:
- Ability to multi-task and possess strong project management skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and Word
- Interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently while collaborating in a team environment
- A positive and professional attitude
- Must be pro-active, self-motivated, outspoken, and well-organized
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, as well as interpersonal skills
- Genuine passion for corporate responsibility and desire to learn about the equity markets
- Previous internship and/or work experience preferred
- Currently enrolled at an accredited college or university
