Supply Chain Management & Business Analyst Intern (Summer 2023)

Internship Program Overview:  
Our Interns & Co-ops are our entry-level talent pipeline for GF across the globe. Our goal is to provide students with a meaningful work experience that will equip them with the skills to embark on a career in the fast-paced and growing semiconductor industry after graduation. As an intern at GF, you’ll experience one-on-one mentorship, work assignments that prioritize your growth and potential, professional development opportunities, and the chance to network with executives. 

Summary of Role:
This is a project-based role with routine tasks.  The project assignment for this role may be focused on streamlining processes, creating standardized reports and / or improving efficiency.  Routine tasks may be associated with running / publishing daily reports and reconciliations. This internship position will be based out of and support our Austin, TX location.

Essential Responsibilities Include:
  • Assists in creation of digital roadmap for the organization by gathering and analyzing data and assessing existing processes/systems.  Identify ones that can be improved, and specific changes expected from the digital transformation initiative.
  • Assists in developing a talent development framework that is employee-focused for success.  Align learning with organizational goals that nurtures a learning culture and creates a foundation for the overall learning and development strategy.
  • Collaborate with management/leadership to create the digital roadmap which is aligned with our company goals, values, vision, strategy and has a documented ROI. Develop a presentation with facts/features which include appealing touchpoints to build stronger connections and buy-in.
  • Document business process improvements and workflows
  • Builds dashboards which provide consistent and transparent reporting as a “single source of truth”
  • Perform analysis and process improvements and implement solutions as needed
  • Communicate clear status and target dates for key milestones / task activities
  • Attend meetings as requested

Other Responsibilities:

  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Required Qualifications: 
  • Education – Student or recent graduate majoring in Supply Chain Management, Strategic Sourcing, Business or related field
  • Skills:  Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite of applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), MS Teams for collaboration, MS SharePoint, PowerBI, advanced analytical abilities, effective research and professional networking skills, and the ability to problem solve
  • Good Communication skills and the ability to work well on teams or individually
  • Fluency in English language – written & verbal 

Preferred Qualifications: 
  • Prior related internship or co-op experience 
  • Demonstrated prior leadership experience in the workplace, school projects, competitions, etc. 
  • Project management skills, i.e. the ability to innovate and execute on solutions that matter; the ability to navigate ambiguity.  
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills  
  • Strong planning & organizational skills
